Diane qualified at St Thomas’s Hospital, London in 1984 and worked at London teaching hospitals for seven years before moving to and working at local hospitals in Hertfordshire. She moved into the private sector four years ago.Diane has over twenty years of experience in the musculoskeletal field of physiotherapy with extensive experience treating people who have had major surgery such as total hip and knee replacements, back surgery, major knee ligament reconstructions and joint arthroscopies, as well as with people who have suffered traumas such as fractures and whiplash injuries.
At the Luton & Dunstable Hospital she worked in the A & E Department dealing with acute sports injuries and fractures.
At the QEII Hospital she led the shoulder rehabilitation service and has continued to have a special interest in this area in private practice.
Her professional interest in shoulder and sports injuries has developed from her participation in competitive tennis, having played as a junior at national level and then at senior county level for many years. She is also a keen cyclist and downhill and cross country skier.
Three years ago she completed her qualification in Acupuncture and now uses this when appropiate to improve the effectiveness of physiotherapy treatments.
