Rachel used to be a nurse who has a passion for exercise and the benefits it brings to each individual: improved strength, mobility and flexibility, plus of course the advantage of gaining better overall cardiovascular fitness.
Rachel has worked in the fitness industry for over 15 years, she trained as a fitness instructor, locally at Oaklands College in St Albans and has completed various other fitness related courses, including personal training, Aqua, Spin and body conditioning. Rachel also attended a couple of courses at the YMCA, Exercise to Music for the Older Client and Stott Pilates.
In order to compliment her pilates teaching, she more recently completed an online pilates course specifically designed to teach clients with muscoskeletal issues, this included post operative exercises for clients who have recently had hip, shoulder and knee surgery.
Rachel has been teaching at local gyms for many years, where the groups are large but loves working at the Redbourn Physiotherapy Clinic with small groups, whom she can build up a rapport with and tailor the exercise class to their specific needs.
Rachel believes exercise is fun and can and should be enjoyed by everyone and anyone.
