Sarah moved south to Hertfordshire after qualifying as a Chartered Physiotherapist in Edinburgh in 1988. She has since worked in both the NHS and private sector locally. She spent the first ten years as a practitioner gaining experience in all areas, both out patient and in patient, Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedics, Neurology and Paediatrics. Sarah passed her post graduate exams for membership into the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapy in 1994.Thereafter she has spent some time studying pain physiology and attending courses run by the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute. Sarah also has an interest in Women’s Health and has completed studies and a placement with Dr Jo Laycock.
In 1998 she set up Redbourn Physiotherapy Clinic with her husband whilst still working as a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at St Albans City Hospital, piloting the Low Back Pain Triage Clinic with Mr Peter Dyson Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Her vision was to create a multi-disciplinary clinic of specialist therapists, with the best patient service and care at its focus. As well as running the clinic with her husband, Sarah has a full clinical list. She particulary enjoys complex clinical presentations.
Sarah has always had a keen interest in continued professional development for both herself and the team at Redbourn Physiotherapy Clinic. She organises the monthly in-service meetings as well as attending courses/conferences herself.
Sarah enjoys all outdoor activities with her husband and three children.
