  Back & Neck Pain
Back pain is very common and causes a great deal of misery, however serious or permanent damage is rare. With the correct understanding and experience we can help you make as quick a recovery as possible. We use a combination of an in depth assessment and clinical diagnosis to draw up an individual treatment plan. The treatment will include :

• A specific explanation of your problem
• Self help strategies
• Appropriate manual therapy/manipulation
• Core stability exercises to strengthen your spinal and abdominal muscles to help prevent future problems
• A Consultant referral only for those requiring further investigations.

  Sports Injuries
As sports injury specialist we can manage your injury quickly and effectively. We have a wealth of experience from the elite athlete to the occasional participant. Form early diagnosis to quick progressive treatment strategies we aim to get you back on form as early as possible. We have close links with a consultant radiologist who specialises in muskuloskeletal Ultrasound.

  Orthopaedics
We see many patients after various operations and have worked closely with Orthopaedic surgeons to devise up to date post-operative rehabilitation protocols. In some cases we are asked to see the patient pre-operatively for :

• Assessment of their function
• Explanation of the operation & expected post-op course.
• Help with other areas of pain that may affect the post-op recovery
• To teach the post-op exercises so they are fully understood before the operation. Thus helping to reduce the post-op anxiety around early mobilisation.

Women's Health
Symphysis pubis dysfunction is a very painful disabling condition that some women suffer during pregnancy. We can help support you through this. We examine the pelvis to assess the degree of instability and give you detailed instruction on how to prevent further aggravation. We may use gentle manual therapy, a symphysis pubis belt and/or crutches depending on the severity.

Women's Health Cont...
Urinary and faecal incontinence can be an embarrassing and debilitating problem. We assess the cause of the problem via detailed history taking and pelvic floor assessment. Our treatments include pelvic floor exercises with EMG biofeedback, advice on diet and fluid intake, bladder diaries and drills as well as muscle stimulation if appropriate. We have close links with a Urogynaecololgist for further investigation and possible drug or surgical intervention.
